With more people taking stock of their lifestyle in this pandemic year, cardiovascular health has come to the fore once again.
Joining the ranks of olive oil, fish, berries and avocadoes as foods commonly linked with heart health benefits, experts writing in Food & Nutrition Technology Journal have now added the polyphenol-rich herbal brew, Hibiscus tea.
The new research review on Hibiscus, by the UK’s Tea Advisory Panel, combined results from more than 20 studies to examine the range of health effects arising from regular consumption of Hibiscus tea. More research is needed. Read the full paper here.
